30 minutes

I can find 30 minutes.
Just 30.

I can find 30 minutes to take a breath.
I can find 30 minutes to take a walk.
Just 30.

I can find 30 minutes to tell my daughter stories.
And 30 minutes to watch my son play.
I can find 30 minutes for listening to my partner.
I can find 30 minutes for calling a friend.
Just 30.

There are 30 minutes for pulling weeds.
There are 30 minutes for planting seeds.
There are 30 minutes for admiring the things that grow.
Only 30.

It can’t be so hard to find 30 minutes to soak in a bath.
Or 30 minutes to meditate.
Or 30 minutes to daydream.
It’s just 30 minutes.

I only need 30 minutes.  Everyone needs 30 minutes.

How many minutes do I waste each day?  How many do I lose?
How many do I give the screen? The feed? The show?
How many minutes do I squander?  How many pass me by?
Do I notice when they go?  Can I hear them slip away?

30 minutes is nothing.
30 minutes is everything.

It is a choice.  It is deliberate.

I need to choose it more often.

I need to sit inside myself for 30 minutes.  Just 30.
I need to see myself, be myself, free myself for 30 minutes.  Just 30.

I need to love my family, love my friends, love my tribe for 30 minutes, every day.

And every day.
And every day.
And every day.

It’s just 30 minutes.
I can make it.  I can find it.  I can choose it.
Every day.
